They're Here! : Setting up and acclimating your new pet

Before inquiring on any animal I have for sale/trade, please read this page completely. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have! :)

PAYMENTS:

I accept credit and debit cards via Paypal as well as checks, cash (in person only) and certified money orders.
All checks must clear the bank fully before I will ship an animal (which may take up to 2 weeks).
NO COD shipments, animals are shipped when paid in full.

PAYMENT PLANS:

I do accept payment plans.  25% of the animal's cost is put down as a deposit and is non-refundable  (so if you change your mind, you'll get the money spent on the animal back, minus the 25% deposit).  Deposits will only be given back if I cannot provide the animal (meaning if something happens to the animal while in my care, which, while a rare thing, anything can happen).  I, like many other breeders, ask this for payment plans as in good faith, we are taking the animals off the market for other potential sales while waiting on you (the buyer) to finish said payment plan.  Entering this agreement you have looked ahead at what this will cost, since you are letting me know what works best for you to achieve the given payment plan noting that you CAN do it.  If you pull out because you changed your mind or otherwise, that's not fair to the seller.
If however, you need a bit more time on a payment plan, that is to be discussed with me.  I'm not heartless, I understand things happen in life we sometimes cannot control.  Just talk to me and we'll work something out. ;)

SHIPPING:

Safety of the animals comes before anything.
NOTE: I am presently working to become FedEx Certified to further ensure the safety of my animals.  Until then, I am using Ship Your Reptiles as they are FedEx certified.
Signature upon arrival is always requested, so someone must be there to sign for the animal(s) arriving.  This protects them from being left outside to roast, freeze, dehydrate, etc.
I am not held responsible for carrier delays or someone not being there to receive the animals.  We schedule a date that works to ensure you will be there to receive the animal(s), and as best to our knowledge, the weather will be appropriate for their journey.  That being said, I cannot predict the weather, (freak storms come in, etc.)  While we try to schedule a date around the weather, being by nature unpredictable, I cannot guarantee a freak change in weather will/will not happen, possibly resulting in your shipment being delayed.
I have not had issues with DOAs yet and hope never to.  In the unlikely event this occurs, I ask you ship the animal back to me within 12hrs of arrival.  Upon receiving the animal, I will either refund your money or send you another animal, your choice.  If I don't have another animal to send in replacement, I will refund your money.

I guarantee that my animals are healthy, mite free and feeding regularly before shipping them out.

And Lastly, What Happens If You Can No Longer Care for Your Pet?

Sometimes when you bring home one of my animals to live as your beloved pet or to raise up as a cherished breeder, something in your life happens to where you will, for whatever reason, be unable to keep him/her for their entire lifespan.
If this happens, please know that yes, I will absolutely take them back.   Part of being a responsible breeder is putting the knowledge out there that at ANY point in their lifetime, I will gladly take back my kids to live their lives here or be placed in another home.  All you need to do is contact me and let me know that you can no longer keep your animal and I will gladly make arrangements with you to have them shipped here - I will cover the shipping- (or I'll come pick them up if we are in the same area/state).
It doesn't matter what the reason is as I am not here to judge (life happens, I realize that), but I will ask just to know as it is.
I do ask that you DO tell me if they are ill in any way so I can seek immediate medical treatment for them, prior to putting them in the usual quarantine before they are put around my animals or go to a new home.
